Extensive experience of specialist contentious town planning and associated work, including Judicial Review and High Court Challenges to planning decisions under the 1990 Act, public law matters and compulsory purchase.
Previous experience in local government for 8 years. Currently advises many national and local house builders, property developers and local authorities concerning a wide range of developments.
Acknowledged planning advocate. Continues to advise local authorities in relation to local plans, planning appeals, enforcement matters and other planning related issues.
Regularly involved in the formation of infrastructure and planning agreements in relation to large-scale developments.

The Law Society, Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute and Member of the Law Society’s Planning Panel. Planning Assessor for the Law Society.
Career
Educated at Banbury School, Nottingham University and Guildford College of Law. Qualified in 1982, following articles with New Forest District Council.
1982-1988 Planning Solicitor with Charnwood Borough Council. 1988 moved into private practice.
