Marrons undertakes the full range of planning and development legal work and planning consultancy.
Marrons has eleven full time planning lawyers, one consultant, and four qualified town planners. Four of these lawyers are nationally acknowledged as “Leaders in their Field”. Six are members of the Law Society’s Specialist Planning Law Accreditation Scheme and two are national assessors for this scheme. Morag Thomson is identified in Planning magazine as one of the top planning solicitors in the country.
Our specialist Town Planners have extensive experience in respect of all forms of planning and development. They act for property developers, landowners and local authorities and undertake planning studies to inform and support development proposals and carry out planning appraisals to assess development potential, opportunities and constraints.
Marrons is frequently engaged in both the promotion of and opposition to development schemes. We act for developer promoted schemes of all sizes and types and act for local authorities in relation to enforcement action, planning appeals and judicial reviews. In addition, the firm acts for landowners ranging from those with extensive land interests seeking to promote large scale development to those with much smaller sites simply seeking to increase the value of their land.
