Alasdair Jones, MRTPI Director of Town Planning
Over 35 years experience in town planning and development, primarily focussing on residential and commercial schemes, both small scale and strategic. Currently advising developers and house builders in the promotion of large scale schemes through the Development Plan process and in the preparation and submission of planning application.
He has represented clients at numerous Examinations in Public, Local Inquiries and Appeal Inquiries, acting as an expert witness in each case.
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
Educated at Wirral County Grammar School, Bebington, Wirral and at Lanchester Polytechnic (now Coventry University). Graduated in 1971 with BA (Hons) Urban and Regional Planning. Following positions at Coventry City, Norfolk County, Worcestershire and St. Helens Borough Councils, he joined the House Builders Federation in 1979 working in Manchester and Birmingham. Entered private practice in 1985 with Richard Wood Partnership. Set up Sanders Norman Planning Consultants in 1988 before establishing Stoneleigh Planning in 1991 with Richard Dunnett.
