Wide experience in plan making process both a local government office and consultant. Particularly enjoys development control, negotiating solutions to planning problems and appearing at hearings, public inquiries and examinations.
Recent projects include health care reorganisation, housing projects, a nursing home, gypsy sites, a sikh temple, golf course, barn conversions, public sector infrastructure and a sustainable urban extension.
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) since 1974.

Local Government posts in Local Plans and Development Control at Worcestershire and Lincolnshire County Councils and West Lindsey District Council (1970 – 1985) and District Planning Officer at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (1985 – 1989).
